Donna Lena De Meyer
In a world full of cookie cutter coffee shop chains, the Plymouth Coffee Bean is an authentic coffee house, and my mission is to bring quality, consistency, and passion to our coffee experience. Few people are fortunate enough to work in a place they love as much as I love the Bean. Every day is an opportunity to learn something new, whether it's about making coffee or achieving a better understanding of the business. You can find me behind the counter four or five days a week, usually in the morning. I love the quiet moments of early morning when the Bean is just waking up. I know the preferences of just about everyone of our regular customers, and believe heaven can be found in a great latte. Working at the Bean means being part of something special, and that is the word that best describes our staff.

Jeffree St. John - Music Director
Jeffree began frequenting PCBC back in 1998. Back then he was the kid on the porch who kept to himself, frantically scratching poetry into his notebook and sucking down bottomless mugs of black coffee. These days though, he may be better known as the guy who can’t sit still. Jeffree is often seen moving quickly through the café, arranging furniture, painting walls, adjusting lamps, tweaking sound and, if needed, reminding people of a house rule or two. In 2008, Jeffree was placed in charge of creating a consistent schedule of quality live music. Jeffree not only facilitates the booking of each performance, he also acts as MC of each show in addition to transforming the café environment into a performance environment and engineering sound and lighting. Booking of the visual arts was handed to Jeffree in May 2009 As a design specialist and framer in the early 2000’s, Jeffree enhanced his attention to detail and balance. Jeffree has been exhibiting his own photography since 2000. Jeffree is a self taught singer/songwriter, musician and spoken word artist, who has been performing to audiences since 1998. On smoky bar stages, in coffee house back rooms, street corners and storefront windows, Jeffree has entertained both locally and nationally. Jeffree releases his music under the name SUGARSPELL Listen to recordings @ Sugarspell.bandcamp.com myspace.com/sugarspell
