The Plymouth Coffee Bean has talent walking through the doors every day. We have been fortunate to host many outstanding musicians and artists at our open mic nights and concerts. Some of the individuals and groups have pursued their dream and the Bean wishes them all the best. We are ecstatic that the voices, lyricists, and bands that have rung in our halls, danced in our mind, earned a place in our heart have and found success still are calling the Bean home. We are always searching for future heroes that want to start, continue, or begin a new, here at the Plymouth Coffee Bean.

| One night in suburban Detroit, a twelve-year-old Rosie Thomas lay sleepless in her bed, obsessively dwelling on what she perceived to be her lack of life purpose. Then, well after 2 AM, it suddenly hit her. She sprung out of bed and raced down the hall. “Daddy, Daddy, I know what my mission in life is,” Rosie exclaimed, poking her father. “I just want to entertain people.” Rosie’s demonstrates her care for people and the friendships that originally drew her to music. Rosie explains, “When I woke my Dad up that night, even then I understood that you couldn’t be an entertainer unless you did it for the benefit of other people. That’s just a valuable lesson I have to keep reminding myself.” Well over a decade ago, a teenage Rosie knew that she wanted to be an entertainer, today, she has truly become one. |

Detroit-bred singer-songwriter MoZella seamlessly blends pop, soul, and jazz into her carefully crafted tales of life and love. Her charismatic vocals and charming personality have earned her the reputation as a fresh alternative to formulaic pop artists. Now based out of Los Angeles, MoZella has just released her sophomore album on Universal/Motown Records.
Armed with nothing but her guitar, the blonde troubadour set out for the West Coast immediately after graduating from high school to pursue her music career. When things didn’t develop as quickly as she had hoped, MoZella found herself decorating cakes by day and performing in coffee shops at night. All her hard work eventually paid off, as she was signed to Madonna’s Maverick Records in 2004.
